Bohol and its Treasures

 Chocolate Hills

Last  April 2009,  we decided to visit Bohol, it's an island province of the Philippines located in Central Visayas region, known for it's white sand beaches and the famous tourist attraction -- the Chocolate Hills. With my good bargaining chips in my hand we've visited this place without spending that much. A night before we left, we gathered some information through the internet about the ferry fares, Car rental for the tour and places to visit etc. We found our first bargain of the day, which was the ferry ride. Usually you have to pay for the ferry each time you ride but not in our case we only paid P500 instead of the regular one way  fare which is  P800, luckily they have this libre balik promo which means return ticket is free. After a good night sleep, we went to Cebu port around 5:30am and arrived at Tagbilaran Bohol 2 hours after. At the Tagbilaran port, we were greeted by tour package operators and the price range from P2,000 to P3,000 not just one but lot's of them..We easily avoided them by telling  we were locals  so they easily left us alone. I found him on the internet and the night before going there we contacted him and again for the price of P1,400.
